What is Ready Reckoner Format?
The Indian
Premier League is scheduled to start on the 26th of March. Teams are
all set to perform well in the tournament. Two new teams are added to the
tournament named Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants respectively. The
competition will be high this season. Fans are going to witness some
jaw-dropping matches in this Tata IPL.
The format
of IPL is changed for this season. Because two new teams are added, now the
matches will be played according to the Ready Reckoner format. The old format
of the double round-robin doesn’t fit well with ten teams. The Online IPL betting websites
have released outright odds for all the 10 teams.
In this new
format of Ready Reckoner, the IPL teams are divided into two groups. The 10
teams are divided into two groups Group A and Group B.
Group A Group
B
MI
CSK
KKR
SRH
RR
RCB
DC
PBKS
LSG
GT
Teams in
the same group will play two matches against each other. And teams in the same
row in another group will also play two matches against each other. And one-one
match with the rest of the teams in the second group.
For example
– MI in Group A will play two-two matches against other teams in Group A i.e.
KKR, DC, RR, LSG. Also, MI will play two matches against CSK which is in the
same row as MI. And with the remaining teams of group B, SRH, RCB, PBKS, GT,
the Mumbai Indians will play one match each against them.
This format
is very thrilling and will surely make the tournament more fun to watch. All
the 10 teams will play 14 matches each and the ones with the highest points
will qualify for the playoffs. You can place your wagers on these teams on the
